The Prost's have last years Ferrari engines and gearboxes which are alleged to come with a substantial amount of the rear end of the championship winning Ferrari. Yet still they are nowhere.
I guess this means that the Prost's were running in a highly non-race spec off season to try and tie up those much needed sponsorship deals. Frankly the situation looks dire, expect to see Alain P trying to bale out before the seasons end. I read in a recent article, that AP has put virtually all the money he made from driving in F1 into that team. Poor sod! |

Well, I certainly am disappointed in those Prosts. I had really hoped that Jean Alesi would finally have a decent car to show what he can do but looks like this Prost, although an improvement on last year's disaster, is still nowhere near the kind of pace that would enabale Alesi to shine very often. Alain's biggest mistake was letting those Mugen Hondas's go...if he had'nt..who knows...Prost may have had the works Honda's instead of Jordan and his boys. |

The Prosts are slow at this stage because Alain is a man of honour. Once Traction Control is legal for everyone, they will move up the grid.
That's what I think. |
