David,
After your topic about the big one I had mentioned the Leyland P76. Well here is photo proof that someone actually raced one. The picture is of me in my mazda going up the inside of the P76, just before he turns further right and takes us both out |

Mount,
nice one - is that an RX-2? I like the Rubens B approach to cornering and overtaking at the same time. Muffy |

Thats a heck of alot of sheet metal to tangle with mtpanorama
I too have seen a P76 racing at Winton..in sports sedans..it was green and I believe its number was 76 as well...and was quite competitive with most of the midfield runners..but still ya wouldnt want to tangle with it. |

Moff,
It is an Rx3 10a 4 door. In regards to the overtaking style, The p76 is already slightly out of shape as you can see and we havent made contact as yet. the p76 driver had actully borrowed the car from a friend and got it out of shape coming onto the straight a t amaroo and thought he was going to hit the wall, so he turned in a bit harder which was right across the front of me. So we both went off. Marcus, It is actully aluminium that i was messing with, but the cars owner was heard to say "you cant sink a battleship with a rowboat" |
