Current Chassis – Team by Team
Due to the post-Hamilton chat surrounding spare cars, I thought it was timely to start a thread in which the combined knowledge of the forum can create a list of the V8Supercar chassis currently owned/housed by the various main series teams. This will give a clearer picture on how many teams actually do have spare chassis lying around in their workshops (obviously they are all in different states of readiness, but a chassis is a chassis...).
I’ve compiled the following list as a rough start........ to which those ‘in the know’ can add/remove cars and fix the errors in the chassis designations...... in order to establish the current state of play....... WP/Clayton HRT045 WP002 WP004 WP006 WP007 Tasman TM04 TM05 TM06 Perkins PE045 PE046 PE047 (not yet raced) BJR WP003 WP005 PWR TWR042 TWR046 PWRVE1 PWRVE2 GRM VT02 VE08 VE09 PMM Indiana Janson 00M BA1 00M BA2 WOW BF1 Nash WP001 SBR SBRBA1 SBRBA3 SBRBA4 SBRBF1 FPR 503 604 DJR DJREB3 DJRAU13 DJRBA16 DJRBA17 Britek FPRBA3 FPRBA4 FPRBA6 BritekBF1 888 TE012 TE012A TE014 (not yet raced) TKR TE009 PCR TE011 I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that Perkins, GRM, 888 and FPR have more cars than that for starters...... |

PWR would still have TWR #47 as well.
PMM have Hercules too. Triple 8 have the 06 bathurst winner TE010 which Lowndes drove after Clipsal. PCR have TE006 as well as TE011. GRM may still have VT01 and VX03. And Britek took over FPR#2 and #3 which became BM002 and BM 001. Ithink they acquired FPR#6 recently. |

GTR, is there a way of updating the list in post #1 by editing it, or do we have to keep reposting it with the revisions?
There is still a big question mark over what lies down FPR way (the FSR car has to be included in that too...), and it is indeed notable just how many cars Mr Weel has gathering dust.... WP/Clayton HRT045 WP002 WP004 WP006 WP007 Tasman TM04 TM05 TM06 Perkins PE045 PE046 PE047 (not yet raced) BJR WP003 WP005 PWR TWR042 TWR046 TWR047 PWRVE1 PWRVE2 GRM VT01 VT02 VX03 VE08 VE09 PMM Hercules Indiana Janson 00M BA1 00M BA2 WOW BF1 Nash WP001 SBR SBRBA1 SBRBA3 SBRBA4 SBRBF1 FPR 503 604 DJR DJREB3 DJRAU13 DJRBA16 DJRBA17 Britek BM001 (FPRBA2) BM003 (FPRBA3) BM004 (FPRBA6) BM005 (not yet raced) 888 TE010 TE012 TE012A TE014 (not yet raced) TKR TE009 PCR TE006 TE011 |

I think FPR are also currently Running 705 (Orrcon Car) with 604 "Written off" and 503 currently running around as the Castrol Car.
The FRSR Car is also and FPR Chassis. |

Would the Tasman VE's all be titled TM? I would have thought just the one Murph debuted and the one nearing completion in the shed would have that title as they are the only ones built in-house by the team. I would argue Tasman have 4 cars in the shed.
As you know, Britek will debut a new car in Perth, whilst they have another car under construction due before the end of the year for obvious reasons. For SBR, which car did Courtney write off? SBRBF1? Meaning SBRBF2 has just been completed? MarkInTheStands is correct with the FPR info. |

Banksie - Tasman bulit their first VE's as well - big write up over a number of weeks in AA. Therefore they would have TM 01, TM 02 (both the 2007 cars); TM 03 (current Murph car) and TM 04 (under construction).

Getting slightly off topic but I think this is the story.
D'Alberto originally acquired the 2004 Bathurst winner (Kelly/Murphy) TWR#044 from Kelly Racing. He ran that in 2005. He then bought the 2004 Brock/Plato car HRT#048 to run in 2006. McNally ran #044 that year. Both those cars are still in the shed I think. A fair bit of historical value in those 2 cars. For 2007, D'Aoberto ran the ex Kelly championship car #052 and McNally ran ( and still runs) the ex Skaife #053. I think Jay Verdnik now owns HRT#049 and runs it in this years DVS. Geoff Emery runs #054 and Tony Bates the 2003 Bathurst winner #043. |

The EB is in DJR's museum, along with AU13.
From what i've heard, they will be riding the year out with the current BA's (in BF Spec), and build FG's for the start of 2009. |
