Ferrari launch- it's here!
Those of you who know me, know that this is a yearly thing for me... The countdown to see what toys the man in red with the big belly (Ross Brawn) has brought little Rubens and Michael for being such good boys last year....
And this year, I am a mod, so I can update the countdown myself We've already seen a strange and wonderful new front wing. What other wonders will the new rossa bring? Last edited by Inigo Montoya; 16 Feb 2005 at 12:43. |

Do we definatly know its going to be called the F2005?
I hate these Ferrari names, why can't they call them something more interesting F399? F666? etc |

No indication yet of what it will be called.... Numbering schemes for cars are equally lame for any team, IMHO.

Team insiders indicate little confidence for the first races with the F2004M. They also point out that the new car will be great ant that they are working flat out to see if the can bring it out in Bahrein.

Nonono, some bloke a few years back said, "It's only beautiful if it wins" erm, OK, whatever, I personally think whatever this new Ferrari has it will look stunning.

The front nose on the Ferrari looks much worse than last years' tusk, on the Williams.

But Rory doesn't have a big belly so it destroys the whole santa/xmas theme...

Well, Adrian Newey seems to get all the (dis)credit for Mclaren's cars..... Same as Gascoigne for his etc.
Don't get me wrong, Ross should not get all the credit for Ferrari's - just like the preceding shouldn't, but do. Technical Directors are managers, more than anything. It makes their job crucial, but they are not actively involved in the specifics and soon if you see my drift. |

The new car bears the signature of Aldo Costa, not Rory Byrne.

No doubt it'll be radical.
And no doubt they've done their homework. But as we've seen before, sometimes the numbers don't always add up on the track. Plenty of time to put things right though. Last edited by Marbot; 24 Feb 2005 at 09:10. |
