Alex Tagliani to go back into the V8's?
Just heard on RPM that Tagliani may go back into the V8's and move to Aus. He said that he was reading the paper looking for a property and said that he may join the main game. Your thoughts people?

He didn't exactly set the world on fire during last years enduros. Mind you, the WPS cars of 2005 aren't in the same league as this seasons...

Since Allan Moffat retired in the late 80s there hasn't really been a Canadian presence in the championship...

Yep. ChampCar is not the only game in town for these drivers
The RPM interview with Mr Tagliani cited being closer to his wife's family as the reason for the switch rather than losing a deal at Team Australia. |

The Tag's to V8's thing seemed to be dragged out of him by Greg Rust during their interview today, so much so that Rusty made a comment about it setting the forums alight when he made it. I gathered it would be more of a retirement plan for him when Champ car no longer floats his boat, rather than a near future prospect......

Agreed, so has Holdsworth...
Personally, I'd like to see Wilson stay where he is, it'd be good to see im stay & actually grow with a team as opposed to being a journeyman, & Larko has definitely been an asset to that team.... |

Thou this post is off the current topic of discussion in this thread, I noticed that during the whole RPM show yesterday that Rusty was poking and proding at any opportunity. Even asking both Lowndes and Whincup about a sponsorship change on Triple 8.
Back to the discussion at hand, unless Tag's brings with him some Canadian dollars, his chances of get a ride I think are fairly minimal. He even said it himself, that he is pushing the Team Australia thing in Canada to sell wine. So unless Larry and JD are looking for an North American face for there product, chances are he's better off selling Aussie wine in Canada. |
