This is the cut down buy everything online version though. The real GT5 is out later in the year and carries the full price tag and all the features, tracks, cars and everything else
However after playing the demo off Sony network in HD I WANT IT NOW!!!! This will hopefully be my easter pressie from the wife as its not too dear I can just buy her a bunch of flowers and smile nicely till she orders it for me The demo has 16 cars and does online rankings to see how good you can actually go on a dirt track opening new cars every time you do the track under a specified time. Once you finish the last car you then get to do the same track but drifting instead of stright racing. I suggest if your going to buy this you definetly download the free demo and check out the superb 1080p. The crowd cheer and move around, the landscape is quality even the drivers in car look cool. |

GT5P has a new graphics and physics engine, the car's feel much more realistic than previous GT games. The online rankings/races are good, with so many players it's always a huge challenge to rank highly, I'm sure some peaple play 24/7! |

here's hoping for some good online racing on the full game at LM, maybe a ten tenths edition of the LM24 hours |

I've only just watched the video's myself, it's great to to see the F40 sound's so realistic.
Engine sound's were alway's a weak point for past GT game's. |

looks nice, but how will it compete with forza I wonder? Sure, Forza dont have the looks, but the handling is where it all matters.

You can't really compare Forza, that's more of a sim lite experience. |

Got my GT5 Prologue today, it's also available as a download from PSN.
Initial thoughs after playing for an hour.... it's good, feels similar to GT4, but then I'm no expert. It'll be more interesting when I get to the better cars |

Got mine Friday, and I'm impressed. To me the "Standard" physics mode is very GT4-like, just with oversteer a bit more available. Set the physics to Professional and it becomes much more realistic - the F430 is a real handful, at least in these slightly inept hands

I had a quick go on it.
Good engine sounds. Nice graphics. Everything else felt the same. Same old clinical GT borefest. |

I haven't bought the UK version yet, but the Professional mode with a wheel feels very differernt to GT4.

Don't see why you bother going on the game if you find GT games boring.

To try it before judging it perhaps?
Although I haven't really played enough to justify a total judgement. Just an initial feeling. |

F1 sims and GT5 are the only games making me want a PS3. If an F1 sim came out on the 360 I would be a happy bunny. Slightly O/T, I hear there is a new TOCA Race Driver game coming out on all formats this year?

There's a thread about GRID here:
http://tentenths.com/forum/showthread.php?t=104606 I'm still waiting for the 'killer' game for the PS3 - at the moment I can see no reason to buy one, if the full release of GT5 is any good then that may be 'the one' to swing it. I've never bothered with the Prologue versions - it's only half a game really. |
