I have entered for the meeting and been told we will get acceptances in March.

Do you read the papers at all?

Umm there is this world wide financial meltdown thing happening and they had some fires down in Victoria....so numbers might be down...the good thing is that people are still racing...roll on Phillip Island

yes I do, doesnt change things, Bathurst is Bathurst and people budget for events like that in advance if they want to run...I took a look at their website and thought of entering, then realised that $660 entry + $270 for marquee + race fuel + accom + fuel getting there + the rest was to bigger ask so soon after PI...maybe 2010...

PI were lucky most entries were in before the financial crap and then the fires.

I hope that they can financially continue to run it, Track hire alone would make it hard enough before your ambo/medical/recovery/officials food etc.
Are Mercedes AMG still supporting it?
