Edmonton Race July

This is deliberately not in Trackside as at this stage its not about where to sit - its a much bigger question :

Its possible I may be in the area at the right time to go to this event

There seem to be worries about Champ Car as a going concern not helped by processional races like Assen and the general lack of money promotion & interest

SO my question is how likely is this series (& event) to happen in 2008 and have a decent grid ?

In my opinion Edmonton will have a race.
What will the grd look like? At this point I have absolutely have no clue.
My suggestion is make your plans but do not count on a great grid, if plans work out for you, go to the race and enjoy the time you spend at the track.

If you're in the area at the time then hope you'll get a decent grid.

What I wouldn't do is organise a trip based on the presumption you'll see a race because I do believe you'd be running the risk of seeing nothing or very little.
