Now the question is, was the colour scheme on this Mini a product of someone who'd seen one of Dave Pinkney's cars, or could it just possibly provide the inspiration for his 2001 season livery

Believe it or not, the guy's a painter and decorator, and that car is sponsored by his company! Want your living room to look like that?
 Anyway - I got a real good look at the side of that Mini. It was roughly at that sort of angle to me as we both went down the Craner Curves at Donington today
