The race is on at 2:30 a.m. here, but it is being rebroadcast at 8:00 a.m.
I know it is a meaningless race which will probably be won by the usual suspects. Nevertheless I am wavering. Are you staying up? Why or why not? |

Liz, the race is at 3:00pm. Unless of course you really want to hear Vic Reuter(or whatever his name is) speak with Gerry Donaldson and Jon Watson on their cell phones for half an hour. Hey, I'll probably watch that, it is not like there is much else on at 2:30.
Anyways, it is almost 1 now, so I'll take a quick nap and be up at about 2:00. Then I'll get some coffee and settle in for the race. |

'Morning Murph,
I didn't get that nap in. Ironically, there was a documentary on sleep deprevation on The Learning Channel followed by another one on cruise ship architecture that grabbed my attention. Oh well, 5 minutes till the prerace show, enjoy the final race everyone! |

In Australia the race would be on at around 5:00pm, depending on where you live. But instead, our pathetic Tv channel that has F1, channel 9, is broadcasting domestic cricket, and showing the race 10 hours later or something

I'm awake
The race started at 8am here, so it was a case of getting up much earlier than I'd like on a Sunday morning, especially after getting to bed at 1:30am, but hey, I've becoming used to starting the week in a sleep-deprived state, so one more yawned-through Monday won't make a difference Besides, as of this weekend, I may actually get the chance to catch up. Not necessarily a good thing |

The race here was actually at 9am, so it's the same time I'm going everyday to work.
P.S.: besides, it's been a good race, with a lot of different race strategies and some duels side to side and a few overtaking maneouvres. |

Hehe, actually crash, since the last time Optus had the rights to F1, we have seen the race fully uncut, live, plus 30 minute preview and 15 minutes at the end! Thank you Foxtel!!
Although it will be back to Nein again next year |

Down here it started at 5 AM, not so bad at all. Although the over all race was boring, I won't see it until March next year... what means we're gonna talk about how it is gonna be...

Well, there was no way I was staying up. However, I programmed the VCR wrong and missed the end of the race. I haven't even seen the whole tape as my son, who is sick with chicken pox, guilted me into letting him watch Digimon.
Arrrghhhhh!!!!! BTW, I hear that this Schumacher guy won, right? |

I didn't stay up. I got up at 7:30 a.m. and pulled the results off the Net, and was relieved before the race to know that Johnny was only bruised - poor boy what a rancid way to end his career! - and that Mika got that jump penalty. We got no run-up and no post-race conferences.
I don't think I missed anything. |

Coverage started at 7 a.m., race at 9. I intended to get up but I didn't manage. Sowehere at about 11 I awoke and watched the total rerun (+2 hour pre-race show) at 12.

Thanks to "F1 Live" on the Net I got to hear the post race conferences. I had to chuckle when the interviewer asked TGF if he was going to "let his hair down" and TGF thought he was asking him "Are you going to shave your head?"
Obviously he thought this was an outrageous idea, but he admitted he was thinking of changing his hair colour! I wonder if he did? |

I was up long enough to hit "Record" on the VCR for both qualifying and the race. Just staying up 'til 2:30 a.m. for the race to start was too much for me.
Loved the wigs. |
