I'm having a week-end off, but it does look like fun. I do suggest you check at sign on which half of 'LUNCH & PARADE' applies to the marshals...

what a brilliant day it was.
we ran early all morning, nice long lunch break followed by some great races and we finished at a very reasonable time. it was a great clubbie meeting and i look forward to tomorrow. it seemed a very relaxed paddock, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, a great day. |

mpj, if it was only you doing this I remember you. Nice to have someone keep an eye on us. All you need is an engine to start up as the tannoy bursts into life and you don't know what to do. It also adds the personal touch and you can ask questions too. As for the car colour, well it is a little pinkish, although there was a Maestro around on Saturday that defined pink. It is a little joke everyone calls it pink (especially those behind me on the track ) and I say it is purple (it is signal violet).
It was a very smoothly run meeting. One of the best I can remember. falcemob, was that during practice. How did the race go? Your set-up and cars were looking good again in the paddock. |

I got 2nd in class yesterday. The gravel excursion was in the practice today. Ken had a good race, mine was c I made a good start but Harry Wyndham, I think, stalled on the line and I ended up taking to the grass as he got going, we had a drag race to Redgate and I had to force my way back onto the track. My car has been getting hot all weekend and I managed a big spin and stalled the engine in the middle of the track at Coppice in the race and lost bout 4 places. Not a very good weekend on track, but the company was excelent off it

Glad everyone enjoyed it. I too thought it was one of the best run and most enjoyable meetings of the year. Adam, your car does look striking in a field of, shall we say, more conventionally coloured Jaguars and it looked like it went well.
I had difficulty concentrating on the Saturday, All of those AC's to choose from..... not to mention being posted on the approach to Goddards and seeing some verrrrrry nice machinery driving into and out of the spectator tunnel, but was GUTTED on Sunday when the Chevron B19 shown in the programme failed to appear. Was glad to see Cheng Lim exit his Cobra on Saturday after spearing the Recticell barriers at Goddards. From the speed he went past us it looked like he was planning to brake for Redgate...... All in all a good weekend. Last edited by neilwaynesmith; 4 Aug 2003 at 07:06. |
