Ok, we've asked this over and over, but let's shakedown that lovely new poll feature...

MF Mario Kart should be the only game on the list. It demolishes all the rest HAHA.

If you're honest it can only be Colin McRae Rally 2.0!
It's just incredible, amazing...GT 2 is ok...funny, but not too realistic in my eyes. Formula One 97 was the best one for the PlayStation...but still not realistic from a difficulty point of view...it's nearly impossible to win at Barcellona on the highest level...lol. Anb believe me, I'm able to do great races. |

The two best PC games I've tried are "GP500", based in '98 GP 500 World Championship, when I get a new handlebar joystick it'll be perfect, because passing all the power to the tarmac with keyboard is very difficult, and "Grand Prix Legend", based in '67 F1 World Championship, this one is absolutely perfect. I'm going to need a lot of years to finish the game. It's necesary a good steering wheel joystick with pedals.

I have to agree that it really comes down to either F1'97 or the original Super Mario Kart on the SNES - both are still supremely playable and both are in my ten favourite games of all time.
(And I couldn't resist adding one more to the poll... ) |

That's a really tough one to decide. At the moment my fave is Colin McRae 2.0, so I voted for that. GT2 is still awesome and one can only wait for the third instalment, for the PS2.
As for the PC games, well, I've never so much as touched GPL and I don't currently have a PC, so trying out GP3 is a problem... |

Voted for GP3 but my vote should have actually gone to GP2. The thing is that you've got to look at each game according to the resources at the time. That's why I consider GP2 the greatest. Because back in 1996 it was espectacular........for it's time whereas GP3 wasn't that susprising for it's time eventhough it's a better game.
It's more or less what happens with Doom. For me it's the best 3D shooter ever. Of course Quake and Unreal are better but looking at each game and it's time.......nothing beats Doom. |

anyone here play colin mcrae rally 2 here, because on the expert championship mode I find it's impossible even to get into the top six results because I try and avoid crashing and i'm just too slow, but if I try and push I just end up crashing and losing time that way! anyone have the same problem?

...'cause F1 97 really isn't that good.
BUT, for some reason, I prefer GP2 to 3. May be it's cause I havn't played the latter enough. Mario Kart 64 on 4 player is the mutt's nuts. BUT my vote goes to GT2. So good IT HURTS!! No other game can you upgrade your car in the same way as GT2. P ISSING MY PANTS for GT3 on the PS2 |

For me, my favourite game is withought a doubt, Nascar 4. Although F1 championship 2000 for EA Sports is not far behind.

Ancient games
My favourite games are:
Grand prix1 Superkarts Doom The good thing is that they're all free (except for doom), not disk space hungry, and quite decent. I put playability and price over graphics. Grandprix1 still has a decent internet following, but I can't find anything about superkarts. I downloaded it a couple of days ago and it's pretty cool. |

GT2 without a doubt. based on small sample of the cars I've driven in real life, its totally realistic, and damn good fun too. Its the only game that has ever kept my attention for over a year.
