Informal race night?
Leagues are fun, but they take a lot to run for the organisers and the participants have to put quite a bit of preparation into each round to be competitive.
This got me thinking, how about informal race nights? Just pick a game/sim and just go racing. No championships, no points, just fun. It could be any format, PC, Xbox, PS3, whatever.. Just decide on the forum and then do it. If it was successful and became a regular thing we could just rotate things. Would this be something people would be interested in? |

I for one would be interested. I dont have the patience for league racing and find I get annoyed by people taking, what is at the end of the day a computer game waaaay too seriously.

Sounds like a good idea to me, considering the failure of my proposed Tenths rFactor League.
I'd be up for anything PC-based. |

All cars are very, very nicely modeled, better than the cars that come with the game. Spa and Mid Ohio look beutiful. |

Well it looks like we have a bit of interest so I've added a poll. I've picked the ones that have been mentioned in the thread, and the ones I can think of at the moment with my poor overworked brain.
This should give an indication of the options we have. Last edited by Spudgun; 12 Aug 2010 at 21:15. Reason: Typos |

I have rFactor, too, but I can't really stand it tbh. Potentially fantastic, but I can't set the thing up to save my life lol

Having raced GPL way back in the days of the TTFRL, my online racing days are now long over. I can't conceive of racing anything but GPL but I wouldn't have a clue about setting that up again these days....
