Magnesium-alloy Blocks
A trade magazine FEN [factory equipment news] just arrived with an article on research by our CSIRO [GOVERNMENT FUNDED] on Magnesium Alloy casting called T-Mag.Production of engine blocks two-thirds the weight of current aluminium alloy [one third the weight of iron] is anticipated. Is this an Aussie braakthrough or has it all been done before??
