So Yvan owes Reidy a drink ...
Anyone else spot that story in Motorsport News yesterday? Reid says he got Muller's ban reduced after their brawl at Brands in parc ferme. Otherwise, Muller would've been given a 30-day ban. He says Yvan promised him a drink but it's never happened. He also called Yvan a hypocrite. Strong stuff.

Would a 30-day ban mean Muller would have missed Oulton as well as Donington?!?!

That fact's been well known for a while..
Credit to Anthony though, a lot of people would've taken a different view of the incident and not of been able to look at the bigger picture. |

Reid's a Scottish Gentleman. Even if he sounds English.
Could be the basis of a feud for the media to blow up in 2004, especially if MG are competitive. |

I think Reid understands how it feels to be in a postion to win a championship. I mean, remember 2000 when Reid lost it in the final round?
I'm guessing Reid put himself in Yvans shoes and didn't want him to lose the championship due to some silly accident on and off the track. But yea, credit to Reidy... |

Good schooling, I suspect. I may be completely wrong, but didn't Mr. Reid attend Loretto?

Having checked, Mr. Reid did indeed attend Loretto, as did a certain James Clark (d. 1968).
Incidentally, are we to believe - for sources differ - that Reidy was born in 1957 or 1959? Showbiz age! |
