Briscoe To Team Australia?
I think it is looking more and more like Ryan Briscoe will join Will Power next year at Team Australia. With Tags leaving, and Gore making it clear he wants two Aussie drivers, signing Briscoe up would be a logical deal?
Your thoughts? |

I would be very surprised if it happened. The opportunity was there for this season and the story goes that the driver chose not to pursue it. I doubt there shall be a 2nd chance

Well i think Tags was good from a technical point for the team. Now he is gone i only can hope they can get there act around setting up a new chassis.
I am sure they can manage, everyone is in the same boat. Good for Ryan though. |

i doubt this will happen as (the reasons GTR said don't need to write them twice) and most times there is no 2nd chance,i hope that if it is true Newman/Haas want him he should take them they are the world champs and i thinki he could show Bourdais up abit, but i don't see how they would want him as they have 2 established good drivers in Bourdais and Bruno (can'tr spell his last name,i'm a terrible speller skiped english at school ) and i can't see them letting either one go unless one of them wanted out,so if the Team Australia offer is still on the table i think he should take it now Tags is gone.

Derrick Walker and Ryan Briscoe are quoted in this week's autosport magazine indicating this may well happen

Derrick Walker: "It's always been obvious to me that in order to make the team as marketable as possible, it needed the best two Australian drivers we could lay our hands on. We've got one in Will, the other obvious one is Ryan. If the opportunity came up, I'd accept him in a heartbeat".
Ryan Briscoe: "RuSPORT is a great group but I'm not sure what is happening with them next year, and obviously Team Australia is an option". Autosport magazine 16/11/06 |

The reality may have hit him that if he didnt mend any broken bridges, he may be left out for another year. F1's already disolved infront of him, he doesnt need CCWS to do the same.

i think by his coments he wants to stay at RuSport but he dosn't know what is happening with them but Team Australia is an option if RuSport/better option than Team Aus dosn't work out.
