Le Mans Annuals (merged)

I have been looking all around for places that sell Le Mans annuals. I have had not much luck. Can anyone help me and tell me where I could find them?

Re: Le Mans Annuals

Or failing that, http://www.chaters.co.uk hold quite a few.
Note that, although the annual has been published since 1978, not all are published in English. 1980-1983, 1985-86 and 1994 are in French only. Good language skills practice. Some are very difficult to find, particularly 1983, 85 and 86. I am still (desperately) in search of 1983.

Cheers
Mike

Another UK based one to try is http://www.millhousebooks.com
They seem to have a good selection of Le Mans based books.

What is the going rate for these books and are they *really* worth it? I've seen some quite ludicrous prices up til now, hence I've never purchased one.

A copy of the '89 book is on Ebay at the moment for about £40 but that will hit £60 by the end of the auction I'm sure!

There are some bargains around though at around the £20 for '99 and 2000 and around £25 for 2001 - I reckon they're well worth it Craig

For LeMans annuals check out www.minigrid.com
I know they have some years available at sale prices that are not listed on their web site. An email should get you answers as to availability and price.
They are definitely worth the price

Le Mans Annuals

I just picked up my first Le Mans Annual this week. Actually, my wife found it at a well known bookstore chain here in the U.S. and picked it up for me. I was quite stunned that this store even carried it. It's the 2003 edition with the lovely Bentley on the cover. Great book! It's a welcome edition to my motorsport library. My question is, where can I find back issues? Any sites that regularly offer them? Thanks for your help!

I keep an eye on eBay but haven't seen too many of them on there for a while. They're not cheap but I am slowly building up a collection of the older editions despite this. Well worth it!

A couple of online stores in the UK hold a good stock, http://www.chaters.co.uk and http://www.collectorscarbooks.co.uk
These annuals go back to 1978, some (1981-83, 1985-6 and 1994) are in French only, otherwise available in English and French. ebay is a good source, almost a complete collection has gone through in the last week in Europe. Some are much harder to find than others, 1983,85 and 86. Fortunately I have just managed to complete my collection. Prices can vary from as little as £10 ($20) to over £100 ($180). There are definitely some cheap 2000, 1992 annuals to be found. Enjoy.....

Le Mans Yearbook

Hi guys, I've recently stated collecting the Le Mans yearbook by Christian Moity. I've struggled to find any English editions of the book from 1980-1986, do any of you know if the book was actually pubished in English for these years or only in French.

Thanks
Trev

My copies of the book by JMT and CM are in French before 1987...pretty sure that's all that is available....I suspect that the impetus to publish in English came with the hordes of fans that rocked up to La Sarthe to support Jaguar's efforts in the late 80's........then once we had taken control of the race it was too late for the French............

I have English versions.

At LM last year, I bought 81, 84, 85 and 86. This was a real stroke of luck as I had been searching for a couple of years for these to complete my set.

Well, I'm lucky enough to have finally got a complete set of annuals (the wonders of ebay), from 1978 to 2003, still waiting for 2004 to appear. The following are available in French only, 1980-1983, 1985, 1986 and 1994.
