Looking good..
I'm glad to see the BTCC is headed in the right direction in terms of styling. I was afraid that the cars would lose some of their "raciness" with the new regs, but I see there's nothing to fear. The DTM-like styling looks great, and those rear wings remind me of the final days and cars in the old Japanese series. BTW, I'd like to say Hi, I'm relatively new to tis forum, but I've been a lurker for some time. |

A looker or what! Hope the rest look as good. Top marks Vauxhall - just a shame about the black wheels.

I know the Astra Coupe was a descendant of the Calibra.
No, I was referring to the arch and sill kit that the BTCT teams will all be using. Spedeworth Super Rods and Hot Rods have used these for years. Same thing with the spoilers... And now that they're using slightly smaller diameter wheels and tyres, they look more and more alike. The first time I saw the Astra, I thought, "Blimey, a Short-Oval car." They really do look to have the same preparation! |

One thing is for certain-this years racers are certainly more attractive and appealing in terms of looks than super tourers ever were-st's were generally family saloons e.g. vectra, mondeo, 406, and now we have the astra coupe, 406 coupe, X20, IS200 and Alfa 156's.

I think that it looks more like a radio controlled car. Not very attractive!
