That's good news as you appeared to be using it as a storage bin when I saw it earlier this season.....

Oulton, Martini, plus the spiritual circuit home of Chevron, if the weather can be persuaded...as per classic, and only one paddock.. should be a Great weekend.

ahem, yes,
the rebuild requirements were greater than anticipated
we had discovered the night before that the seller forget to mention that no clutch was fitted, little slip of mind...

we should be on top if it now.....

there is a - very slim - chance that we get the 500 cc Whitfill ready for the Gold Cup to get lapped 5 times in the front engined FJ race

but we might behave grown up and just concentrate to get the DRW to do its first race

Will you be fitting mirrors on the DRW, Rudolf? I hope to be running the M1B, if I ever get the engine back from the builder..!

This is the big family race weekend of the year ... Brother David is entered in HFF, I am entered with the FJ and the TR5 in HRS (assuming it is fit after this weekend's Nordschliefe Endurance). We will have both young families with us, and would really really like some nice warm sunshine please!

Pity they can't sort Chevron thing out once and for all.

Pity about Chris Smith who would have sorted it.

I understand the Andreason group built the first continuation cars.

Then history really got screwed.

Original superb cars and since the demise of the Bolton Group has been a hotch potch of important people all pretending to be the descendants of the founders.

Pleased I sold mine before history gets even more muddled.

Chevron became History when one Derek Bennett shuffled off this mortal coil.

Just checked HSCC website, only 1 Derek Bell Trophy race as well. Looks as if we're going to get two 50 minute races for Woodcote Trophy & Stirling Moss Trophy

am I right in thinking that pre 66 sports racers and Elans have been hived off to join the invitation class cars? Seems somewhat hackneyed logic to me and hope its not the sign of things to come - if I wanted to race against B8's etc I would go to Masters!!!

All I know is I entered the Guards Trophy Sports Racing event and was told there were so many GT entries (in the other Guards Trophy event) that some of them were put in the Sports Racing event. As a result I have been moved into the Martini trophy (where there are fewer entries). I don't really mind either way, just need to get some miles on the car after engine rebuild. Martini cars are obviously going to run circles around my old banger, but there are fewer of them, so...

What's the forecast??? Dry Martini or Martini on the Rocks?

Simon-No you would not!

Masters,It's more expensive and includes continuation cars.

Get real boys they need to fill all grids if they can .

Less people racing and to many meetings.

Had to screw up at some point.

HSCC will have a go ,Some other organisers would not get off their backsides to save series or races as long as they have some sort of incomes.

VSCC had a full card last weekend.Cheapest form of racing

Off to Monte Carlo tomorrow when majority of MC resident racing drivers are going in opposite direction.
