FVJs now allowed in 750 MC F4
As the title says, the 750 MC have agreed to allow FVJs to race in the invitation class of F4 with immediate effect. Interested drivers must be members of the 750 MC & register for the championship.

Wake up - this thread is about FVJs!
Formula Vauxhall Juniors being 1600cc Nova-engined FF1600 clones with either 8v or 16v motors, all running injection |

Formula Vauxhall Juniors (FVJs) were built by Van Dieman in 2 forms - the Mk1, a similar looking car to a Formula Ford with a panelled chassis and a 1600cc 8V twin cam motor from a Nova GTE, Hewland FG 200 4 speed G/Box, slick tyre an NO WINGS. These cars probably had about 110 Bhp on injection.
The Mk2 had exactly the same chassis but revised bodywork and a 1600cc 16V twin cam motor running on throttle bodies. These cars probably have about 140 Bhp and have a very similar power to weight ratio to a F Ford Zetec, and run on the same tyres. Most Mk2 cars were converted from Mk1s but there are still a few Mk1 and Mk2s about. Mk1 cars can picked up from about £3000 and can run in Monoposto 1600 & the BARC-SEC single seater series (& now F4). Mk2 cars cost about £4000-4500 and can run in Monoposto 1800, BARC-SEC Single Seaters and, now, F4. I know of at least 4 cars currently for sale (they are not mine so this is not a sales pitch). Mine has been extremely reliable, parts are plentiful and the car really has been "turn key" racing. PS. Further "spotters" note, the FVJ chassis is the same as that used for the Formula Forward/ Formula 2000 cars. |

Mega Pedant does not even begin to describe it, but I am very happy to hand my anorak over to you, john!
However, the point is, that spares are readily available from the Van Dieman/ F Ford/ F Forward parts bin making the cars easy to run cheaply. |
