Was a good and chaotic day for the two of us doing pits, startline and assembly.
I had what i would call a somewhat unique way to doing assembly in the end.
Although 23 of the big dutch supercars don't fit very well into the assembly area.

A great second day, still only two of us but more britcar people helped with assembly - thanks to them

The sprint from the assembly area to the grid through the pit office is good fun

If I can say another big thank you, to all of you for your fantastic efforts. it really did make a difference.
Me well, yesterday I did my first overtaking under a waved green, today did a competitor for overtaking the race leader whilst under Safety Car conditions - hey ho.

Slowly recovering from spending a very windy, and at times, cold day on the Gantry. Think I may have invented a new sport for the Rock.... paragliding down to Turn 1 with a minute board. Nevertheless, had a great weekend, and well done Rockingham for arranging this meeting at such short notice.

Had a good day at 13. "Nothing ever happens at this post" was my opening comment which proved to be 99% inaccurate: several spinners including 3 in the gravel & a wheel from a Falcon which eventually turned up half way to Gretton.

The wind made flagging a 2 handed challenge & waved blues turned into waggled blues all day.

Some good racing although the Britcar Production race was a bit dull.

Yes, a big thank you to everybody who came along to help out. With Silverstone and Snetterton also hosting events this hastily re-arranged meeting saw a great mix of Rockingham regulars, folks from a bit further north (currently starved of racing at their home track) and some faces new to the world of orange.

Matt and Terry plus the other Terry at the pit exit certainly did a grand job covering all the Specialist duties, with support from the Britcar personnel. I expected to be helping you until I happened to be standing next to the Safety Car at the moment when the lack of an observer was spotted so sorry about that.

I think everybody around the circuit went home with a tale or two to tell but nothing of any great consequence. The newbies certainly got to see what it's all about but two wrecked Moslers was a real shame. Those using a radio for the first time did very well and Shelagh's "control do you know that car 2 is on fire?" earned an immediate nomination for most understated radio message of the season.

Thanks again and do come back for the F3/GT meeting on 30+31 May. Don't forget that one of the hospitality suites, with complimentary tea and coffee, is available for use by your family and friends (collect an entry voucher at sign on) .

One of the Clerks got stuck in the lift and we finished on time - could these facts be connected in any way?

So if we could get them all stuck, we would finish early?

What a weekend!!! Manic is an expression that springs to mind as far as the gantry was concerned. A tight timetable, some of Race control's best "curve balls" to deal with, SC's, penalties, flagging and trying to keep up to date with the plot, or not in one instance. Some brilliant machinery, good grid sizes ... even the Porsche 924's suprised us compared to that printed in the programme. A big thankyou to Britcar and DSC for coming to "The Rock" and providing some great entertainment, please don't leave it too soon long before you return.

My thanks to Mattt! We certainly had a busy 2 days, talk about multi-functioning? Most of the teams behaved themselves in the pits which made our job a lot easier. My apologies to Martin Short for confusing him as he came into the pits, control changed their mind where they wanted you to go just as you got to me ?????
We could have done with a lot more bodies all around the circuit! Where was everybody?
Thanks to the 'Pieman' for making a great weekend.

Actually, it was "Control, are you aware that car 2 is on fire?" - even more understated , but I did like Robert's response "We are now"

Does this mean I'll finally be up for some sort of award ???????
