Hartley - Formula One 2017
Probably the biggest NZ Motor Racing story of the year next to the Le Mans win.
so I thought this story is worth of a bit of discussion. https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/h...in-austin.html I don't expect much given that the other drivers have 16 race weekends in their 2017 race cars and all the other training and testing etc that accumulates to enhance their race pace. |

There are so many contributing factors as to why some do and some don't make it to the very top.
Ten years ago I felt the situation was such that there was no sound commercial reason to have another Australasian driver in F1. In a sport that seldom offers second chances, it is terrific to see Brendon secure a seat on merit. |
