andrew pitt.....
showed why he is world champion at phillip island yesterday , a brilliant ride in front of his home crowd (gomick was cheering from lukey heights/mg)
my tip is that if pitty goes really well this year, then he would be kawasaki's pick for there moto gp bike - remembering that pitty has finished 2nd in the australian superbike title in 1999 |

He did very well, but I don't think he had the strongest bike out there. Saying that, to finish first, you first have to finish...
And it was fantastic to see someone genuinly excited by winning, kinda like Webber in the F1. |

Just read an interview with Pitt over here in UK. Very interesting, really changed the Eckl set up around to suit him hance why MacPherson did bugger all last year after being quick for a while.
Don't know if he will get a shot on GP bike. Imagine that will probably go to Izutsu and maybe Yanagawa in the first year to keep the pressure off. Perhaps even Eric Bostrom. Would be nice to have Pitt and Bostrom but these are Japs we are talking about! |

well im glad he finally got one under his belt , he won the championship last year without winning a race at all , doesnt make him any less of a champion but to get a win under your belt is always good and he has finally done that so he can just concentrate on having a great year now

Pitts had 2 wins to my knowledge, last season he won the title cos he was so consistant, Kawasaki will have Yanagawa or Serizawa on that MotoGP bike, not Pitt
