Morris to go drifting again!!!
I just saw on his website that Paul Morris is re entring the Aussie National Drift Series. Sounds good, he has got talent to do good drifts and smoking tyres.

He didn't go to badly at the Oran Park round of the Series. As for his ca, I think he is using one of his Simmoet/HPDC cars

The team is building a drift car from a Commodore shell... more power, more durability, more suitability than a circuit racer...

Is he going to use the norm V8, a supercharged 7.0L or a V8 TEGA spec 5.0L?

An unrestricted Nations Cup spec 7.0L Monaro engine would get 750bhp... whether the rev range would suit drifting might be an interesting discussion point...

It is refreshing to see the drfting topic being discussed. I have spent some time debating the need for at least a Drifting thread in one of the forums, it has been placed in the National & Club Racing forum

It can live here as long as it is relevant to the Australian motorsport arena, and stays on topic... if it drifts away (boom boom) from the original subject... it may not survive...

There is a drift practice day at Winton on April 16th, it is being held by VicDrift. The prices are reasonable and perfect for anyone who wants to get involved.

850HP Hankook Monaro 1000+HP CAPA Ute Both beasts belong to Robbie Bolger, and were put together with a little assistance from the dude himself, so I think its fitting for him to join the fun. |

I was of the opinion that the Monaro ran a Perkins V8, could be wrong though.
