WA Sporting Car Club Magazine
Just received today (Tuesday) the latest issue of the new look WA Sporting car Club magazine, The Racing Line.
Must say a lot of effort has been put into it - nice and glossy, thick paper, lengthy articles. Pity it can't be delivered before the race meeting the cover and insert advertising is trying to promote though! The cover, and full insert ad, relate to last weekends Truck Meeting over there. The same happened with the V8 Supercar issue - it arrived the Wednesday AFTER the meeting - and, of course, all the articles contained in the mag were about what would be on, how to buy tickets, where best to see the event, who would be there...and ticket order forms..... Maybe too much time has been put into the mag and not enough into a production schedule.... Last edited by RaceTime; 27 Aug 2002 at 02:02. |

That's the one reason I don't subscribe to Auto Action - they can't guarantee when I'll have it when I can pick it up every Wednesday morning from your friendly local newsagent. No good having the magazine after the upcoming events it's informing me about are run and won.

I can accept AA and MSN being late, but NOT a club magazine hopefully being used to get members to meetings...

Then again, the poor camel Australia post has employed to get mail to the South Australian border is getting a bit old and tired...
Then again (again), I buggered up the last QRDA newsletter by getting it out too early, and not many people remembered to turn up to the club meeting! |

Hey racetime be lucky that there is a club news letter in the first place. I agree that this should be out on time but these things happern.
It has been a marked improvement over the early issues. |

Won't disagree but I have to quesiton the last two issues - the V8 issue - the one containing all the informaiton on how to book, costs, ticket order forms etc arrived the Wed *after* the V8 race....
OTOH personally I prefer the earlier issues - the new ones look bigger but that is only because of the heavier paper stock (would like to compare costs now and before....) |
