You Go Bill !!!
Congrats to Awesome Bill, 194+ MPH in a Dodge. Yippee. Good to see brand parity in the top 10. The Petty team had a good run to, also Lil' E. Should be a great race.
As I like to say: Go Lil' E or any Dodge |

Had to go back and check nascar online & yup the #28 & #15 had the same speed as well as the #88 & #14. Looked futher down the list and the #40 & #41 have the same speeds as well. I know it happens but I don't know if it happens 3 times during the same qualifying?

The top 10 have the best chance to win, IMO
Who has the best chance of victory in the top 10 qualifiers ?
Qualified-Driver/Commments 1 Bill Elliott's Dodge is strong and Bill is determined. I would rate Bill as a "dark horse". 2 Elliott Sadler has been running good but I wouldn't pick him to win, top 10. 3 Ricky Rudd has Yate's horsepower but reliability has been a problem. He will finish good (top 5) if he doesn't blow up. 4 Michael Waltrip runs good on the fast tracks but the monkey is on his back. Man, that was a spooky crash that he had in the Busch race Saturday. 5 Dale Jarrett has the same Yate's engines as Rudd. Todd Parrott is back as crewchief, he could be a factor. I think top 5 at least (if he doesn't blow up) 6 Stacy Compton will be lucky to finish in the top 25. 7 Jeremy Mayfield has a big ego and a fast car, I'll call him the "wild card". I think near 40th, he will probably hit the wall 8 Mark Martin is so clean and smooth, he is the I would pick to win. He is "due". 9 Dale Earnhardt Jr is the favorite to win, I don't think he will win, top 5 I think. 10 Ricky Craven has to be another "wild card", could win but I think top 10. All the above statements are just my opinion without bias. |

They just said on N.T.M. that all the Texas winners have started from 7th or better. I think I like Ricky to win if that's the case.

Monday races are usually pretty tame, I look for pit stragedy to play into who wins at Texas tomorrow, it very well could be someone out of the top 7, I'm sure some of the teams will try 2 tires for track position, whether it works out or not will be the question.

2 tires, and a little rain of course, worked for Jeff Purvis in the Busch race on Saturday.
