CSCC Support for FIA F2 - Donington 15th/16th August
For all those who are going, you should have your instructions now. Please note that you cannot enter the paddock until 18:00 on Friday evening.
So you can still put in a full days work before setting off... Have a good weekend - I'll see you there! |

Am collecting the 911 from the rolling road this afternoon - major coil failure incident causing reciprocal heart failure, but looks OK now - and will see you in the remote paddock!

Should be a good weekend although weather doesn't look great. Let's hope it's not as wet as Silverstone was - definitely the slipperiest race I've ever driven in! |

How did it go? I hope that you all enjoyed being part of Dr JPs show and had a successful meeting.

Good meeting, big crowd, I think CSCC provided good entertainment and an excellent reflection of the more grass-roots motor sport scene, compared to the F2 teams........lots of visitors to the paddock, and loads watching around the whole circuit...........BTW anyone know where results sheets can be found, please?

Nothing to do with me really but I stood and watched the driver changes outside the Historic F2 pits and really felt for you guys as you made your driver changes - with three quarters of the pit lane cordoned off it looked like Hyde Park corner in the rush hour!

How come the pit lane was semi closed off, weren't the other cars in their garages? I know 'we' were 'only' a support race but surely they could have given us the pitlane proper especially considering the format of our races and the entry fee which if I remember wasn't exactly small???????

Unfortunately we are only the lowest of the low in this company so have to do as told! The F2 garages pit apron was not allowed to be used. They were starting to set their equipment up toward the end of our race so although outside of our pit window I guess they didn't want our "pit crew" getting in the way.

shame about the lack of space in the pits but the risk of smacking a few F2 cars up after they blocked a live pit lane in qualifying left us with a fraction of the pits to play with... . |
