British GT 2016
So this season hasn't finished yet but announcements are already being made for next season - good to see people confirming their entries early.
GT3 Barwell - Lamborghini Huracán Barwell - Lamborghini Huracán Beachdean - Aston Martin Vantage - Adam / ??? Optimum - Audi R8 GT4 Optimum - Ginetta G55 - Johnson / Robinson Does anybody know any more confirmed or likely entries? What are Motorbase up to? Their Astons were (are?) up for sale. |

Not convinced Jonny Adam will remain in the series next year, maybe he'll join Mr Howard in the GTE car in ELMS. Perhaps we'll see one of Ross Gunn or Jamie Chadwick in the GT3 car in BGT.

It would be a shame to lose Adam from the series, but no-one could begrudge a guy of his talent from moving up to the international arena.

Agreed, here's hoping he'll still be there next year.
Regarding Motorbase, I hope putting the Astons up for sale is a sign that they're looking to upgrade to one of the new wave of machines for next year, as opposed it being a more ominous sign. From all I've read they're enjoying the GT programme - not to mention it's presumably been easier for them to find funding for BGT/BES than BTCC this season. |

Is there a conformation of Beechdean going to GTE? That's news to me.
Some awful driving standards going on here in the 2015 finale at Donington BTW (can't find the thread), may put off some from returning but I hope not. |

By adding a GTE car into the team we are expanding for the future and we have a stepping stone from a national championship to a world championship, where getting to Le Mans in the next year is now a reality The comment about 'expanding for the future' and 'a stepping stone' suggests they could well be carrying on with BGT as well- Let's hope so. http://www.beechdeanmotorsport.co.uk...-with-new-gte/ Last edited by KA; 13 Sep 2015 at 13:18. |

Well he said to Andy Jaye in the Spa round of BGT that this was almost certainly his last year. So perhaps whilst he steps into GTE, they continue their BGT team with a new line-up?

I thought Howard said he was retiring from driving in a TV interview during the race.

Beechdean are talking about possibly running a second GT4 car next year (possibly with Paul Hollywood driving). They certainly seem to be a team on the up - GTE, GT3 and GT4 for next year.

Paul Hollywood will be driving GT4 next season with Beechdean.
Beechdean themselves are not a team, its Aston Martin Racing who prepare and run the GT3. |

Signs of the 2016 calendar yet? It was expected to be announced during the last BSS race at Misano a while ago.

Wonder why no Easter Monday round at Oulton Park? That makes me very sad, it's been my traditional season opener for years. |

Also the first round clashes with WEC at Silverstone. Genius planning there.

With Easter on the same weekend that one was always gonna clash I'm afraid.
Also, having a race the weekend after the Spa 24H might not be the best idea either, especially since there's only one more race after that and no other in August... |

Brands Hatch on the same date as the WEC make no sense what so ever. It's also a pity it's on that early in the year as I really enjoy the mid/late summer date at Brands.
