F1 Support races
I've read a little lately that some grand prix dont have much in the way of support racing. Is that true?
Melbourne has been voted best GP in many of the years since it started and I never understood why. I guess we were spoilt and did'nt realise it. A 2003 program can be found here. Over the 4 days the on-track action includes: All the F1 sessions MINI Celebrity challenge GP Go-KART challenge Ultimate Speed Comparison - Williams F1, V8 Supercar and BMW road car Nations cup racing Formula Ford V8 Supecar showdown Porsche Carrera Cup And off track you can watch: Seahawk & Sea King Aerial Display Motocross demonsrations Stunt riders display RAAF Roulettes Aerial Display Show 'n' Shine, presented by Shannons What does you GP have? Are we lucky or is this the norm? |

F3000 and Porsche Supercup race with all European F1 races, Porsches also at Indianapolis.
Then nearly every GP has also some class which is racing mostly on that country. (eg. British F3, Formula BMW ADAC) |

yes, but that doesnt quite make up for the lack of overall annual media coverage of the sport

The Aussie support bill is OK, but it still should be bigger.
I don't see why in four days they can't find enough room to fit in the Formula 3's, Historics and the BRutes. Also, it should certainly be a championship V8 Supercar round. |

Silverstone has the thouroughbread F1 racing which is very good to see some of the old cars.
I went to silverstone and monza a couple of years ago and was amazed at how little extra there was at monza - they had the F3000 and Porsches, but almost no-one watched them. And the circuit was empty about 30 mins after the end of the F1 race. Silverstone has lots of other stuff - red arrows, thoroughbread, stunt driver displays and other stuff around the track. |

I'd expect dancing bears for the amount of money they charge you.

What the hell is Show 'n' Shine, presented by Shannons? |
