Back on topic, however, Alx is looking relaxed and in the zone this weekend, and everyone at Comtec is very chilled...
Interviewed him yesterday and notes featuring all sorts of un-repeatable allegations regarding his sexual leanings, personal endowment etc were being lowered over the partition he was standing in front of, by a large group of giggling mechanics... Spirits are certainly high and he does seem to have unlocked the ability to really hustle these cars. In all conditions... |

Hmm. Interesting driver. Wonder what would be his level in a GP2 field during the season? I am assuming not bad, but the beginning of the season is still ways away.

I think he'd do pretty well...
If he's going to GP2 (and F1 seems to be shut to everyone again) I reckon that this is the perfect end to the season to prepare him... He'd be very confident, and I think, as long as his engineers could unlock the speed, he'd be at the front Got any seats spare??? |

Yep, one spare seat and for less than half the budget thanks to our team sponsors. At the moment I am looking for the right driver who deserves the seat.

Molina drives for my team in Spanish F3 Team this year. I was the one who suggested to him to do the WS
Not ready for GP2 yet. One year in WS or Euro F3 and we will see. But he is very good. As for Dani Clos, he tested with us as well. I think a year in the WS will be a good choice. Especially as he is a RDD driver now. Last edited by Alfonso de Orleans; 30 Sep 2006 at 20:43. |

to be quite honest, i can't see the wood for the trees in the world series to work out who is any good any more! but one thing i'd say alx is being flattered by the car. it really is a fantastic car, and comtec deserve a lot more noise being made about it. it's just a shame that everything's only started to come together at the pointy end of the year really!
the circuit really isn't very good for the cars. the first coner is good for jousting and general first corner of the first lap misbehaviour, but apart from that there's not really anything exciting to do except watch people take different lines into the corners. the crowd was fantastic today.. er, yesterday, and they reckon its gonna be huge tomorrow. the signage for the circuit is rubbish, and the car parks... i'd not want to be leaving at the end of the day with everyone else, that's for sure! |
