Rescue Crew Required 17/18 June - Knockhill

I've just received a phone call from Mike Plummer, Crew Chief of the BARC Midlands Rescue Unit. He requires Licensed Crew members for the Renault Weekend at Knockhill on 17/18 June.

I understand that the Unit will be leaving its base in Leicestershire during the afternoon of Friday 16 June. Accommodation and meals will be provided but it would be helpful if anyone wanting to go could assist in sharing the driving of the vehicle from Leicestershire to Knockhill.

If anyone is interested, please PM me and I'll let you have Mike's details.

Sheila

Can't help with this one unfortunately, but it does raise something I've thought about for a while.

This situation must occur on occasions, where units are going to be short-staffed. Is there a case for a central register of rescue crew, that crewchiefs could use in just this situation?

Good idea deadsquirrel, as they person that does the crewing for our unit, proving the Crew Chief agrees, I would use it.

Trev, I thought it was well known that every Crew Chief has a little black book full of numbers which they only ring after 10:30 on a friday night????

R's Jim.
