flyingduck should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
2013 v8st

An interesting calendar posted on speed cafe with a special Auckland event and an international event.

So wondering what the Auckland event is? Street race maybe?

Looking at the facebook site, it looks like a stadium event. Not sure it should be a points scorer, but it would be very cool to have a DTM style event and something new in motorsport in this country. Defintiely worth a shot - I'd go for sure.

The DTM event in Munchen was boring. After 2 editions the event doesn't return in 2013.

Three of the Seven Rounds so Far have been south of Taupo, thats 42.85%

Highlands looks like a great area to Have an event, and a new circuit as well

Great news if this does pan out. The Highlands complex looks wonderful and by all accounts will probably blow most others tracks in this country into last century.

Go the South Island!

I think you'll find that the date pencilled in for the Auckland special event (I read somewhere that it wasn't going ahead) will probably shift to Manfield IMHO. As for Levels and Teretonga, Ruapuna and Highlands are only a short distance away respectively.

I really should ignore your posts Julie, but Manfeild didn't stack up economically after the first trip there, not to mention the efforts of a particular idiot official...

I think they can only fit 50 people there so it was never going to work

And you missed my joke about your earlier post, your inference was that the South Island was north of Taupo...

What is VERY funny, is that the anti-V8ST crowd (and you know who you are) can't stay away from any threads that are started on the subject of V8ST. If you don't like the series, the people involved, the cars, the racing....whatever... surely you would be happier somewhere else!

Strange you would ask a question like that, considering you come from the
Manawatu. Would of thought you had herd of the guy, or perhaps there could
be two of them and it's a little confusing.
