Why will J Gordon be known as the best ever?
Experts know why, do you?

Depends on how you define best.
Richard Petty is currently #1 with 200 wins and 7 championships. Jeff Gordon has 61 wins and 4 championships. Earnhardt has 76 wins and 7 championships. Jeff Gordon hasn't been in Nascar as long as the other two, and I suspect he can someday approach #2 slot in terms of wins. |

Ah--- I kick him out- He's over here now with his carnival games. Soon to follow is BeediesGURL. Back to the subject at hand. It's NOT the number of wins- or even the number of championships that REALLY determine the "greatest" of the time. It has to do with FIRE, perserverence & longivity also. Maybe Jeffie can get to that statis someday. But he will only be the greatest of his time. |

Roselady? What the heck did I do to make you so mad? Will you ever let me on the Indy forum again if I promise to be good?

Beedie. NOPE. You (& your alter personalities) were given multiple warnings.
You'd better behave here- as I know that TimB & Joefan won't allow those carnival games here either. |

PLEASE ROSELADY! Tell me what I said. And you know, that I used only the names beedie or beedie1 so please don't say 'my alter personalities. because those other names or whatever are not me.
Its unfair that you did that to me, so please tell me what I said. Thank You! |

beedie,
I've known Roselady for a long time, and I trust her judgement. If she kicked you out, I believe she must have been justified in doing so. I know for a fact she would not do something like that without good reason. Behave yourself here, and we won't have any problems. Ignore that advice, and I assure you... I'll turn the Anti-Jeff Gordon Brigade loose on ya. And I'm a Jeff Gordon fan and I can tell ya from experience... That ain't a pretty site. Now as Rosie said... Back to the subject at hand. Why will Jeff Gordon be known as the best ever? One simple reason. He is. 'Nuff said. |

I only post facts, I like all drivers that drove really race cars at one time, I don't just like just this J Gordon, I am a big open wheel driver fan, but the fact is when Gordon wins his 8th Cup in the next 8 or 9 years or so, there will be some very sad red necks talking real **** about it.

Ya know- Many of us didn't like DE in his early days. It wasn't until he had years of racing in him before many of us took a liking to him.
Jeffie may get me on his side----but ONLY after he drives- through good times (which he has had) & Bad times (which he hasn't) Good luck (he's had LOTS of that) & Bad luck (he has had only about an ounce of Bad luck in comparison to his many pounds of good luck) When I see him suffer through all the problems & mishaps that can happen- & he drives with perserverance, & he gets a mind of his own, instead of being NASCARS poster boy. When he gets angry & speaks his mind- Not what NASCAR wants him to say. When he proves that he is in it for the love of racing, not just the winning---. When he races anything he can--- & not dropping out of IROC. THEN---- & ONLY THEN will I consider him to be one of the greatest of his time. I guess we all have different requirements for what we consider "greatest" means. |

Probably not... In fact, as an avid fan of statistics and records, I can tell you from experience, most folks around here don't really care about your facts. They like who they like no matter what you say, and nothing you say is going to change their minds. No matter what stats you quote, if you're pushing somebody other than their guy, don't expect them to agree with you. And if you want to know what happens to people who have one track minds about things people around here disagree with, just ask somebody about a character named "Budmakesmewiser"...

If Ur statement about posting stats & records is directed at Me,well to Me stats & records are just facts that show what a driver has accomplished, but if it makes so many fans of other drivers nervous or something then I will quit posting stats & etc.,as I post very little anyway, but still seem to hit a cord with some people with the very few posts that I do make!I don't know why I even bother to post at times,I should just read all the anti-J.Gordon posts & let it go at that I guess! If this is the opinion of the majority of posters on this site then let Me know & I will quit posting altogether!I sure don't mean to or want to upset anyone here or on any other forum neither! Peace!  |

I have nothing against Jeff as he is a good driver....but
come back in another 8 to 10 years and then we will discuss his place in Nascar history. |

Gordon is going to have a lot of competition for the Winston Cup championship in the years to come from Tony Stewart, Jimmie Johnson, Ryan Newman, Matt Kenseth, Kurt Busch and a few other wiley old veterans. I doubt that he will be able to match Earnhardt or Petty's 7 championships.
