Well...if i missed out on the first race, maybe i'll get an extra 50 bonus points for being the first one for this weekend?

Ha ha funny? Maybe?

I do have to say one thing though - my college does a semester at sea for eight weeks, so i'm going to be missing five or six races because i'll be leaving on May 20th...so i might not be a contender at the end of the year as i'd like to be...

Okay shutting up now...here are my picks:

ROW TWO:
1. Dario Franchitti
2. Buddy Rice

ROW THREE:
1. Sam Hornish, Jr.
2. Dan Wheldon

5. Slowest Qualifier (2 pts.) PJ Chesson

The first practice session has begun.

Contest is now officially closed for this weekend.

I got called into a meeting this morning and barely got mine in!!!

I would have been less than happy to have missed my own deadline due to an unexpected meeting....

Good Luck, everyone, and enjoy the race weekend!!!

Reminder for Qualifying:

The first session tomorrow afternoon will set the field from 7th place to the back of the grid.

The Top Six in that session will go into a "Shootout" format where the fastest driver decides if he/she will qualify first or last in that second session.

Each will run by themselves in that next session (IIRC, it is one warm-up and one hot lap) to determine the Top Six starting order.

If you remember from last year, Helio was fastest in the first session, but Herta took the pole in the shootout.

Our Top Six in this contest is always determined by the winner of that second "Shootout" session.
