Plum Pudding Meeting Mallory Park

Just a quick reminder to anyone who is considering doing the Plum Pudding Meeting at Mallory this year. So far, we have a massive entry of 7 Caterhams and NO single seaters!

The format will be similar to last year - i.e the grid for the first race will be drawn out of a hat (Santa's presumably!) and the grid for the second race will be the reverse of the result for the first race.

Please, people, don't let us down, get your entries in soon so that the car races can go ahead. All details can be found on the BARC website under Midlands Region.

I really would urge you all to do this event - especially FF1600 people. It was a great success last year and it would be excellent if this could be repeated this year. And the best thing of all is that I am commentating. OK, the best thing is that the entry fee is only £100.

Ah, forgot to mention the commentator!

And yes, the entry fee is only £100 for two races

No need to be a BARC member for this event (I don't think). £100 entry fee should cover it...

Ian, you are quite correct (naturally!).

Halcemini, no, you don't have to be a BARC member - after all last year's double winner of the single seater races was Pete Daly, the Chairman of BRSCC Midlands!

Does this mean I can look forward to seeing you (and maybe some of your Jedi racing chums) on Boxing Day?

Sheila

Sheila, have you any idea of times etc. We are away for Christmas Day, I will not be in a sober position to drive home then so will drive off on Boxing Day, then if times are OK I can head off from there to Mallory

As Sheila won't get online again until this evening... the meeting probably won't start until 10am so it just depends whether the bikes or cars practise first. Then there will probably be a race around 12.30 and another around 2.30, something like that...

With all your harping on about Midlands/Regional Open Single Seaters I'd have thought if you weren't there it would be a severe embarassment for you!! LOL.

Thanks for that Ian. I think you should be promoted to Assistant Press Officer for BARC Midlands!

I suspect that the meeting will follow exactly the same format as last year in order to save too much swapping of hay bales.

If I remember rightly, we had the cars out to practice first, then the bikes, then the car races, then the bike races. Mind you my memory is not as good as it should be so don't count on this!

It should be pointed out that you do not have to comply with Monoposto Racing Club regulations to enter the Mallory Park event.

It should also be pointed out that the grid for the Mallory races will be decided by ballot.

Seeing as how you Mono boys fancy winter racing, why not go for the treble and do Anglesey on Sunday 5th December as well.
