Just heard on a TV newsbreak that Glenn Seton was injured in a crash whilst testing at Phillip Island today. The breif report said he backed it into a wall doing around 200kph.
He was rushed to hospital but all reports are he is ok and has vowed to get back as soon as he can. Anyone else heard anymore ? |

He will be right for next week at Sandown, even though he blacked out. And FTR will still have 2 cars.
Theres something I don't like about Phillip Island... Trimbole Quartly Will Power Murphy Larkham Bargwanna McDougal Lowndes (2) Bowe Auger Hansford Kelly Poon Conway and now Seton... Is there a pattern forming here? Is it too fast? |

Other tracks are faster but not nearly as dangerous, perhaps it's got more to do with the lack of adequate runoff in some places.

Certainly, lakeside has a faster average speed, but you've got to keep in mind that places PI has 2 very slow corners...

It's not just cars that have problems either. Just look through any Havoc video from the '90s and sure enough, you'll find bikes being mashed at this track.
Not the safest, no, especially in the wet - as we well and truly saw througout last season's V8 Supercar round at the track. The drainage must be worse than Adelaide! |
