Anyone here going to be Marshalling at this event?

I will be marshalling this meeting, it was marshal this one or the GP so no choice really! Lots of races over a weekend with marshals and drivers who are there to have fun and actually race compared to Stalag Bernie and hours of staring at an empty track. I will look out for you - any other ten-tenthers attending?

I'll be there, and am looking forward to every minute it. Give me a good clubbie meeting any day rather than a GP etc...

I'll be there again marshalling this year but going over in my own car this year. It was a good meeting last year, lets hope the Ginneta's do not reapeat the incident at the turn under the bridge as last year. This is my 3rd visit to this track.
Do the GP or this, No comparison.

And I'm going on the coach Friday ; never, ever another GP for me! Arras, plenty of cars, appreciation, good mates, excellent posts close to the track, nourishing meals at noon......what more could one ask!! And breaking news...Lord Percy of Percy is now a confirmed starter despite losing his headwear to an erreant F4 at Cadwell!!
Allez y

Normally I don't, but my fitness advisor tells me that to maintain racing weight I need to start working at it - a low impact regime of beer, crisps and curly wurly's... ;-)

I know it's a bit late for this time but, how or who looks after this meeting? Who do I volunteer to.
What is provided for us?

BARC If you look through all the Volunteer stuff that you got from BARC there's a green form entitled Le Weekend and all the details are on there.

If you either can't find it or have binned it let me know and I'll bring you a copy of mine on Saturday.

To the marshals that are going:
What's the score regarding food and drink on post? I assume it is of little point taking a vacuum flask, and what are the circuit facilities like for refeshments/snacks.

Have a huge meal in one of the many & 'varied' eating places in and off the main square in Arras.........that will keep you going until lunchtime!
There is a real lunch break and the little restaurant in the centre of the track is easily accessible from all 6 posts. Frites etc are available . They marshals are also given a pique-nique which includes a large baguette and drink.
You will be well looked after; just bring a few biccies and drink to keep you going between the busy sessions.
See you there.........allons-y

I was told that Dale Wells was going to contact me regarding the trip but have had no contact so have now decided to knock it on the head sadly-at least Bernie and Alex at the BRSCC went out of their way to help getting me out there knowing I would pass on pictures and help with the marshaling. Lets hope for next year then!...going to miss the Arras night life!!

Important!

If youthink you're meant to be going but haven't got hold of final instructions yet - there is a reason! Apparently a whole load of BARC post has gone missing. So if you're lacking the vital info - phone BARC!

Coaches depart Thruxton at 10am on each of the days..

None of the racers could be arsed to have a separate thread so just a brief thank you for coming and I hope you had fun in Arras and were not too delayed by all the red flags

Yes it was a brilliant weekend and even the the red flags became semi comical. Brighton beach for a track and open cockpits was a good recipe for a "small headache". I did more sweeping during the weekend than I can remember doing in any previous meeting.

Yes, thanks guys. Appreciated.

Steaming hot in the car, so standing in it all day must be hard work !

Cheers
