After blowing an engine Sat morning needing an emergency replacement just in time to make Q1.
Great double pit stops and clever think on your feet strategy with safety cars, (and brilliant passes by Dan) Red Bull really nailed it this weekend |

RB. That really was a great team performance, all weekend. Max needs to curb his enthusiasm a tad. If he had gone out of the race again, that would have put a crimp in it, which would have been a shame.

Red Bull was best adapting to the circumstances, handing them a win they otherwise would not have had. Add to that the work they did on Saturday to give DR a chance at qualifying too

Red Bull. They made the Ferrari and Mercedes strategists look like complete dummies today.

Well without doubt that was the easiest team of the race choice ever. RB

Definitely not Ferrari. By choosing Vettel as number one this early on in the season may cost the team dearly. They are now second in the constructors standings.

Haven't they chosen him as No.1 because the race is on to see who will get 5 WDCs first, Hamilton or Vettel?

Red Bull - should have been a 1-2 but Max blew it.

I've gone for Red Bull too, and considering my usual low opinion of them (whining, excusing & so on) I think shows what a brilliant job they did. getting Danny's PU changed so he could make qualifying was brilliant, then a great reading of the race & tyre change strategy paid off handsomely. Even Mad Max finished quite well considering his accidents!

Red Bull, partly for having a quick car but mostly for their brilliant response to the safety car and their smooth double stops.
OTOH Mercedes and Ferrari really missed a trick by not doing something similar. Kimi only had fresher tyres at the end by luck, because Ferrari had already sacrificed him on the altar of Seb. |
