SJ Spode should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
No new Lancer WRC until summer '04

It appears from wrc.com that the new Lancer WRC won’t be ready for start of next season and the team could begin the year with an updated version of its current car.

Things not looking too hot at Mitsubishi then? Hope Alistair Macrae gets a WRC drive for next year

Hmm... I guess the Japanese arm of DaimlerChrysler is starting to suffer the same abuse the American divisions have since the merger. Lousy Mercedes management...

Mitsubushi have always been relatively small budget. it was amazing that they had the success they did. Shows just how good Ralliart and Makkinen were.

There was a rumour that Mitsubishi were going to run the new Colt as their WRC car - I assume that this won't be until 2005 at the earliest?

Yeah that's what I heard too! Would be a better car as the EVO VII is a rather large car, especially for the likes of the tight twisty roads in the Monte Carlo. The Colt would be a much better size IMHO.
