The funny thing is to compare that to what we've seen up till this year. |

PROPER racing!! Wow!! No wonder Rons gone grey! Must have been Berger(?) and Cappelli in it. Was Martin Brundle watching in 3rd place? I think Go Go Go James was commentating cos coudnt understand what he was saying..

Good times! Nice reminder of how gorgeous the 1990 Ferrari was as well.

Great link luke - I think it must have been JA doing the commentary, because I couldn't understand it either!

Thank you for that link! That was awesome.
The announcers were great too. Couldn't understand a single word they said but I knew exactly what they were feeling! |

No problem guys. Couldn't belive how or remember how aggresive Senna really was and how fearce their battles was.
You wouldn't see Schumacher making a move like Senna did or maybe?.... |

OTOH, I though Shumi's pass of Button on the chicane was quite aggressive! What's really amazing about the Senna/Prost battles is when they were on the same team! Now that's something you would DEFINITELY hear about if it were to happen today! |

Three observations:
1) Senna's move at Suzuka in 1990 was disgraceful and will forever tarnish his reputation in my eyes. It was much, much worse than Schumacher at Jerez in 1997, yet Senna won the title because of it and nothing was done. 2) I do so miss the Marlboro livery. 3) The FIA needs to watch that compilation. 2005-spec cars simply couldn't follow each other that closely. Why not? Do something about it. |

Prost Vs Senna
Hey Hey Hey, take it easy BSchneiderFan I think your forgetting what Prost did to Senna the year before in Japan knocking him out of the race to win the championship. In my eyes it was pure revenge and Prost Deserved it.

OMFG that was brilliant.
I remember now, they're called racing cars. Thanks mate. Makes me depressed at the thought of watching Indy, TBH. If the FIA want feedback - send them that. |

It only rams home how good racing was in years gone by.
And it ISNT people looking misty eyed through rose tinted spectacles, it really was better 10, 15 years ago. But 10 years ago everyone was saying "F1 was so much better 10 years ago", so you can go in circles. But its true, the more aero progress the teams make, the worse the racing will become unless something is done to massively change the cars... |

With careful editing you could make even the most dullest F1 race look exciting, but that Silverstone battle was ferocious, you couldn't have a battle there like that in todays cars.
If you look how close the cars are following, todays cars cannot do this. |

Thanks for the clips. Fantastic racing back then and for me that is the way you go about winning a championship. I can remember watching some of those races and to be honest they so much edge of the seat stuff that I had to go for a sleep after watching them!!
