Best Driver Line-up
Without doubt, the greatest driver pairing in history would have to be Senna & Prost.
But who has the best pair of drivers at the moment? There have been many arguments as to who the best driver is, Michael, Juan or Kimi etc. But which current team has the best overall driver line-up? Michael & Rubins, Ralf & Montoya, Coultard & Kimi or maybe even *smirks* Irvine & PDLR. IMO, Although I think Michael is the best driver, Montoya and Ralf are the best combination, with Ferrari a close 2nd. Top 3 combos' I'd like to see: Schumacher/Montoya (although this would kill the opposition) Schumacher/Villeneve (just to embarrass some of the JV fans) Fisi/Trulli (could/would have been the Renault dream team) |

Best combinations over the years:
Fangio/Moss was a fantastic combination - the master and the apprentice. Mercedes dominated, but unfortunately they'd never be team-mates again. Clark/Graham Hill at Lotus in 1967/early 1968 had the makings of an unbeatable combo - the best drivers of the generation in the best car. But unfortunately... Senna/Prost was almost unbeatable. What would be the best combo of todays' drivers: JPM and Kimi. Two guys who give 110% commitment no matter what. |

The current best combo would have to be Ralf and Montoya without a doubt.
Combos I would like to see: M.Schumacher/Villeneuve (just to embarrass all those Schumi fans) or Raikkonen teamed with either Montoya or M.Scumacher, because Montoya/Kimi would be on the edge of your seat exciting and Kimi would definitly make Michael sweat. |

Oh! All time other than the Senna/prosr combo, I would have to say Villeneuve/Scheckter in '79 was pretty brilliant. Even though Villeneuve relinquished he sure gave Jody a run for his money.

Personally I'd like to see Fisi and Kimi put it up to the rest of them.
Perhaps Heidfeld and Fisi could ruffle a few feathers |

I think it would be silly to put anybody (JPM, JV, Kimi) in a team with Michael if that team is Ferrari (where TGF is and always will be #1). I think he's the best driver, sure, but it wouldn't be a fair go because of team policy.

I think we're looking at this, politics aside. For me JPM/Ralf are best combination today. Very much chalk and cheese but with oddly similar results.

Best ever goes to ... Jim Clark & Ayrton Senna ... but my dream team raced a Williams-Honda in 85/6 ... Nigel Mansell & Keke Rosberg.
Today's drivers i would go for Jean Alesi & Greg Moore ... sorry but not even JPM or Kimi produces enough sparks to light my F1 fire ... like in the 80's. I miss you so much Rosberg, Mansell, Pironi, Villeneuve, Lauda, Piquet, Senna, Bellof ... and Prost too. |

I wish we'd seen Michael Schumacher and Mika Hakkinen as teammates. It would be interesting to watch wouldn't it, even if it did result in McLaren '88-like domination.

Personally, I'd like my two favourite drivers:
Fisichella and Webber |

Although not the best paring I found Mansell and Hill in 94 to be a pretty successful pair.
Mansell was determined to show he was fast again and Hill was detremined to show he was as good if not better than Mansell, but more importantly they worked together in their goal to improve the Fw16. The Australlian event was the only real time we've seen Schumacher Sh1t himself. |
