Konrad?

What ever happened to the Konrad Saleen? I only ask because as everyone has stated, the GT1 classes across the globe seem to be in trouble and I don't ever remember hearing what happened to them.

*Other cars in question: The AF Course MC12's(from 04 FIA GT, I assume they went to Vitaphone), the JMB MC12(from FIA GT 05). The GPC and JMB 575's(from FIA GT). That's all I can think of off of the top of my head. I have seen the Grahm Nash Saleen for sale on a racing car site somewhere I recall.

One of the maseratis went to Japan, the other races in Itaky, as does one of the 575s. One of the Graham Nash Saleens was sold to balfe and is for sale again.

One is currently on display on the Essen Motor Show. The others are sitting around in KonradĀ“s workshop and waiting for funded drivers.

Slightly off-topic, but i didn't think this warranted a new thread, i've wandered for a while what happened to Freisinger Motorsport after the 2004 season?

They concentrated on their road car business.

GPC still have their 2 575's, but theiy didn't race anymore after the 1000milas d'interlagos in Januari this year.
Where remours that they would enter a F575 next year FIA GT if their comes a Privateer or Gentleman Cup for older FIA GT1 cars...

What also with those 2 F575's of Baron O'Connor from the Netherlands who did LMS in 2004 and 24 H Le Mans...?

Thanks for the replies all, seems like a ton of nice hardware sitting in garages. I had forgot about the Mallock Saleen's as well. I'd love to see the GT1 class get some sponsorship dollars and publicity, but it doesn't seem to be in the cards at the moment.

The ex RML / Mike Newtown Saleen are with Konrad since two years now.

The 003R is on the Essen fair. The other cars are in the workshop and could be prepared for the Mil Milhas and maybe some 24h races. (Other Konrad News: http://www.projectlemans.de/content/view/2620/163/)

Freisinger Motorsport is running some cars in historic racing. Most of the crew members from the FIA-GT days are now working for some other teams.

These are the individual chassis numbers of the 575's. The last recorded year is the last known whereabouts, so as has been pointed out there are a good number sat gathering dust...

Must be!! He loves Ferrari racecars.
He has got quite a collection (a few old F1 Ferrari's), so 1 or 2 are in his private collection? I think so (would love to have one of these in my collection too)
