Jacques Villeneuve back with Williams in 2004

The talk is Jacques Villeneuve will be back with Williams again in 2004, Sir Frank will not have a Driver on His team that signed with the competion.after All Villeneuve is still the Best F1 Pilot out there. Without Villeneuve there is no inerest in the Canadian GP.

Please provide a crediable link for this source, otherwise I'm afraid it won't last long!

As you can see with a cursory look ten-tenths is a fan of JV threads

Anyway, welcome, but (most) of our posts stay in the real world!

To pretend to take this seriously. Montoya is Williams' best option for 2004. That is the main reason why he will stay at Williams. After all Williams kept Villeneuve even though theyknew he'd be leaving in '98.

You don't have to be pro Button to conclude that Jenson came out of 2003 on top - reliability factored-in. If JV had beaten him on all of the (rare) occasions when his car held up then sure - but he didn't. So - there is at least one driver in F1 better than Jacques, ie Jenson. I'm sure there must be others...

On the other hand Wwilliams will have trouble getting Webber because Flavio is holding on very tightly - no-one is holding on to Villeneuve, so from that point of view he is well placed!

I would love to see JV back in F1, unfortunately I don't think it'll happen...too good to be true.
(I know some of you will laugh at the last bit but then I'm a fan )

I've just seen a really nice pink pig fly past my 21st floor window - no, my mistake, it was a rumour that JV would be driveng for Willaims next year!

To the Pink Pig Man, if JV is not in A Williams next Year He could be in a car that can beat the Williams.

True enough - Sportscars can be faster than F1 cars on some tracks, as can Champcars, and he could end up in either series.

I can't see Frank replacing Montoya with him for 2004, it's a long shot at best. For 2005, maybe - but only on a low-salary/dollars-per-point type contract. I can't really see him emulting Prost or Lauda by returning to take the title though.

JV will be back in F1 let there be no mistake about it. It will wake up a lot of true F1 fans around the World, F1 Champ 2004/05 Mr. Schumacher will again see the same competion He faced in 1997.

Wasn't JV rumoured for being the 2004 McLaren tester?

Here we go again is right! The other day I bought a book called Grand Prix Year 97 - as I didn't follow F1 then , I thought I could update my knowledge. On page 142 quote: "Villeneuve wobbled occasionally ON HIS WAY to the drivers' crown".
Well as far as I am concerned he has been wobbling ever since. As far as documentation on Villeneuve [regarding achievments] the covers are close together. If true I doubt it - Ralf would make mincemeat of him!

I'll look forward to that - Schumacher back in an also-ran car and Williams comfortably on top of the pile. Think I'd prefer it if the No.1 Williams driver didn't nearly give the title away though.
