It was closed because it was preseason news rumours.
The series has clearly plummeted in popularity as there hasn't even been any weekend threads put up by posters for the last 3 meetings!! Mick Schumacher won last Sunday's reverse grid race in Hungary, strting from pole having finished 8th in the Saturday race. He did well to stave off Matsushita but had it been a more open circuit, I suspect he wouldn't have won. De Vries maintains his series lead, Latifi had a mixed weekend, as did Ghiotto. Aitken picked up a couple of good results so just about stays in contention. This is not a season filling me with much excitement!! |

Agree completely with Chunt, F2 this year is all a bit mediocre, De Vries, Latifi, Ghiotto have all got goodness knows how much experience between them, not one of them makes you think wow! Sette Camara hasn't pushed on much, Hubert and Schumacher deserve a second season i guess but when you look at what Russell did last year it makes their rookie seasons seem a bit average at best. As for Gelael, Boschung, Raghu, Calderon etc, it has all been said before hasn't it.

I think he would rather do it without all that, because if you look at it he's actually done an alright job without fireworks

That’s terrible, poor guy. He looked quite promising too. I think that’s the first death at that level since the mid 90s?

Dates, years etc pale into insignificance in these circumstances.
Anthoine lost his life as a result of a freak incident today. Full condolences to his family, friends and the F2 community. Sundays race has also been cancelled as a mark of respect. |

Heard about losing Antoine during the IndyCar broadcast. Sad news.
Wishing a speedy recovery for Correa. |

As expected no replacements for Hubert (RIP), Correa this weekend at Monza. Alesi will take Boschungs car as Alesis car is impounded following the tragic accident and Boschung is struggling for budget.

Get well soon Juan Manuel. RIP Anthoine |
