Where Does Plato Go?

Since Jason Plato got replaced by Thompson in a Vauxhall. Where will Jason go to defend his BTCC title next year? Is is going to be Proton or Honda?

Now that Leslie's No. 1 at Proton, I can't see him going there.

Plato has said he wants to defend his title before going anywhere else. MG, Honda, Proton, VLR and Barwell haven't confirmed their full commitments for 2002 so he should easily find a drive somewhere. DTM could be an option in 2003, if Menu puts in a good word for him, either that or ETCC yes, but not until 2003. NASCAR i think will only be a dream.

I hope Plato gets nothing for next season hes a disgrace

He never won that championship fair and square and everyone knows it.
It should be Yvan Muller with the No. 1, hes worth 20 of Plato!

Hope u end up driving the VIP bus Jason thats about all u deserve.

Vauxhall made a good decision dropping Plato.

Only see Honda as a possible route out, and even at that I think drivers like Eaves will be on Honda's list before JP, but maybe he will join the ETCC.

I hear National Express are looking for drivers. but even they are not that desperate. The most pleasing thing for me is to see plato get nothing.

Just a wild stab in the dark, but I'm guessing that this isn't the JP fan club home page.

Plato should get nothing, except some free tickets to come and watch
Muller show him what a class driver is.

If Honda sign him they want their heads testing, They want to show everyone how good the Civic Type R is then the answer is dont let Plato drive it.

Get a proper driver not a nasty, cheating, poor tv presenter. He should bring out a video called "how to win the BTCC, unfairly"
on top of that he slagged off the Saxo VTS, one of the classest cars ever produced and he has rubbish taste in women not mentioning any names of course(spice)

I think that you have all forgotten that JP is the BTC Champion. Regardless of how that came about he is still a good driver, Whenever two or more good drivers are in the same car there will always be a certain amount of contact. JP does still deserve the chance to defend his championship. Only that way can he prove all of you doubters whether he is any good or not.

Give him a break.

He dont deserve a break! Hes a disgrace. If he aint in the BTCC in 2002 it will be good for the series. I was disappointed last year when Menu won it cos Reid who was British didnt and came so close.
But Id have rather a French driver who is fair and has genuine talent had won it, than a jumped up amateur like Plato who threw his teddy out the cot on more than a few occasions in 2001, and did some highly dangerous and reckless moves!

Jason Plato is a disgrace to the British Touring Car Championship! and there are many people who agree with me!
