Nothing posted in here yet? Strange considering the good entry.

Anyway, looks like I'll be there, probably under someones car!

Yes a great entry. It usually is at this 'end of term' party. I'll be there. Who's car will you be under, Wayne?

I will be marshalling at this event; which will be for the first time in a couple of seasons, so very much looking forward to it.

I never know till I get there

Going as a speccie but I always end up getting me hands dirty. I'm sure I'll spend at least the morning if not the day lurking in the pitlane / garages and paddock.

I will be there in the Chev Camaro in Historic Road Sports - just brought the car back from Farnham with a new clutch courtesy Martin Saville of RPM, after the Brands Hatch DNS.

Number 55 and a welcome to any TenTenthers who drop by ... weather forecast looks dry if a bit brisk.

Bringing the E-type for a last outing this year, on my own but the kids might show up. Hope to bag one of the Guards garages so any tenthers please come in out of the rain and say hello

Rain? What rain?
Forecast I looked at earlier today didn't mention rain - just overcast and 10 degrees.

I'll be there, either lurking on the bank or in the SC. Not sure if the SC is being used yet.

Weather looks promising for Bev Bond's return to the cockpit in Andrew Thorpe's March 703 in race #6 for Classic Racing Cars.

In a ceremony on the podium at lunchtime, Bev will be presenting staff from Poole Hospital with a cheque for funds raised to date by his "Motor Racing Supporting Cancer Awareness in Men" Charity, so come on down and buy a polo shirt or sticker & give Bev your support!

I love that end of term feeling at the finals.....

Ill race my new Brabham BT in HFJ und CRC.

My Mitter FJ will be aired and further honed by the builder.
And the PBA FJ (veeeeeeeery German) will get some shakedown for next year.

It just seems much more relaxed and that seems to translate to better racing for some reason which makes it one of my favourite meetings.

I had to miss it last year due to work for the first time in quite a while but I plan on being on the Luffield terracing as close to 9am as possible.

Back from a great day racing Historic Road Sports at the HSCC Silverstone Finals - second race in the newly acquired '69 Chev Camaro.

Driving up at 0600 dark, v. foggy and b. cold (no heater in the Chev), and thinking 'why am I doing this ... ?'. Got scrutineered by 0815, quick cup of coffee, still v. foggy and then 0915 Practise. 'Struth ! fog descending and lifting at odd places round the very slippery National circuit, well plastered by oil and this was only the second seance ! Several HRS cars off the track at various points and amazed to find that 5700cc got me 7th place on the grid - something new after 20 years of 1300/1600cc Alfas.

By 1.15, sunny, dry and the cars that found the oil in the morning session now steam past me ... but a great race and a good tussle with Mike Eagles who would have prevailed had he not suffered lack of coolant problems. As 10/10thers said above, a great end of season ambience to the meeting, lots of friendly faces and the usual HSCC good driving standards. The Camaro finished 10th place and 2nd in class. Then re-pack all the tools etc into the Chev and drive it back to London.

Tired, delighted, happy with the car (and thanks to Martin Savill at RPM, without whom ....). Out next season in HRS - rock on 2013.

Hi Nick, we did briefly speak just after your race, sorry, I completely forgot you was on here so didn't introduce myself

We watched the race from Becketts and you were certainly looking good there

Even though you drive (another ) Camaro, you would be a welcome addition to some of Bernie's HVRA races next year

It was a bit misty this morning wasn't it!

Thoroughly enjoyed the day despite the early conditions. As usual some great racing and mostly large grids despite it being the end of the season/budget. I hope that all involved in incidents during the day are O.K. (especially Jon Milicevic in the Juniors) but was disappointed to see Robyn Slater suffer damage in his freshly repaired Anglia.

Good to meet you Grant.

Standing at Becketts during practice and we'd never seen such a greasy track or so many spins in one day.

Wonderful meeting though.

Moose,
Yes, I have already talked to Bernie about his series and intend to do a couple next year if I can. Bernie and I started racing the same year in HSCC HRS Novices in 1991 which, in retrospect, was a great way to get into racing.

Thought I'd taken a wrong turn and ended up at some open air ballet ... especially when the DBT lads were out.

A couple of grids seemed to be somewhat larger than the published Entry Lists suggested they might be. Well done to all involved for getting the numbers up to excellent levels all round. A great event.

Ditto for the message and likewise for the meeting and chats.

It was a very pleasant day with great and knowledgeable company, especially once the sun came out for the afternoon (and I had added an extra layer of clothing).
