i'm despratley searching for a picture of Anthony Reid's Opel Vectra GT....I think it was entered as Opel Team Japan but i really would like to see if it ran in the half HKS livery. If anyone has a photo or could link one that would be great.
cheers

Anthony Reid was part of the three car RML squad of Cavaliers (although marked as Opel Vectra's) Claland, Briggs and Reid. And there was NO HKS livery on the car.

If you send me a PM I can e-mail you a small image of the car.

Why Opel Vectra GT? IIRC the shortlive SEAT Toledo and VW Bora (someone having a photo of this car?) had also type name GT.

Motorsport Archive also seem to think the '95 World Cup was at Donington...

I've got the full results as published in Touring Car World.
I'll post the two races seperately- the entry list on Supertouringregister looks complete and correct

Homolgation has to be based on a specific model of road car, GT was the one that Opel used. Not sure exactly why but there was probably some tiny difference that made this model just that little bit more suitable than any other Vectra.

For example, prior to the introduction of the Super Touring wings and splitters regs Ford changed from using the Mondeo Si to the Mondeo Ghia specifically because the Ghia had a different front bumper to accommodate the fog lights. Remove the lights and the holes make a useful air intake for brake cooling ducts.
