Helmet Cam!!

Just saw the CART coverage on Sky Sports Extra as we can't get it live in the UK anymore and I thought the helmet cam on Paul Tracy was FANTASTIC!!

I remember seeing something similar to this once in F1 at Monza in 1994 with Mark Blundell but it was never shown again until now. Hopefully the next time they use it there won't be as much picture break up as this is the best camera I have ever seen!

Keep it up CART!

They couldnt use as many onboard shots as they wanted to on race day because there was low cloud cover and it was affecting the signal .

But when they did show it , it was amazing .

I also remember the Blundell camera shots when he raced with Tyrell back in 94 .

ihope they use them cameras again with Tracy in the next race also .

wait till you see the camera view in an accident. you will know who was at fault then!!!!!!!!! I think it will be good on an oval. For the High G loadings!

If any of you want to take a look at the helmet cam - and you haven't already done so, take a look at this thread on Farzads F1 Gallery: http://www.farzadsf1gallery.com/phpB...opic.php?t=101

You will have to install some codecs, but there are instructions there. Regards, Scott

Definitely a new perspective on things. It'll be interesting to see the footage from a road/street circuit (when climatic conditions permit)

A great camera! By the way, what did Dario have attached to his steering wheel? Seemed like a picture, or something...

Awesome pictures from Dranchitti's car. And what was that picture in the middle of the wheel. Didn't look like Mrs Franchitti. Was it Mr Reynard?

The picture was of the Head of Honda's CART race programme. It was meant to spur the drivers on to great things, given that Twin Ring Motegi is owned by Honda & they haven't won there.

It's weird. Well, Dario came close to winning it, if not for his pit stop snafu
