Mini Racing

The longest running one make saloon car championship
(Mini 7 Racing Club)
kicks off on 22nd May 2004 at Brands Hatch - CSMA Event
and is going to be a cracker !! and will include over the
two day meet.

Classic and Historic Touring Car Championship
Classic Clubmans
Classic Formula Ford
Classic Group 1 Touring Car Championship
Classic Thunder Championship
EuroBOSS Championship
MG Owners Racing Club
Mini Miglia Challenge
Mini Se7en Challenge
Modified Production Saloon Car Championship
Post Historic Touring Car Championship
Throroughbred Sportscar Championship

I understand that they normally get up 50,000 people
attending the meet.

Are there any other meetings apart from bikes that get
that amount of gate receipts ???

I think the Mini's may keep you Marshalls Busy !!!

Well worth a visit to Brands.

I am for sure putting in my race entry.!!!

Regards

Steve WW

I believe that there are no receipts for the gate, as the tickets are given away by the CSMA.
Great meeting though and I shall be there.

Me too although the gate numbers vary depending on the weather between 20,000 and 40,000. It's still a great day out and one I always marshal. Look forward to seeing a few more ten-tenthers that weekend.

I don't think they are given away - 12 pounds in advance and I would expect them to be available on the gate too.

I was going to say, giving away free tickets thats news
to me. So still not bad 20-50k at 12 pounds. I know
the event has be advertised in the National Press.

The thing with the CSMA meetings are that they are sold more as a family day out which happens to be at a race circuit that just a race meeting. I'm not saying that's necessarily a bad thing of course, just don't expect all 50,000 to be watching the racing

Does anyone know (Roughly) what the gate prices may be? This looks like a meet I cannot miss!

From the ad in this week's Autosport - £20 on the gate for either Sat or Sun, or £12 in advance (01273 744773/7447274/744726).
