Ambrose quickest, both DJR cars in the top ten. Luffy 5th. Early days yet can he keep it up. Lowndes off the pace (28), only 9 laps, looks like more car trouble. Seto 17

queensland based teams are looking pretty strong for that , fair enough i guess with testing and stuff , I hope Luff can keep up there and DJR have a good weekend for once.

Lowndes has an engine elect problem (dizzy cap).

Skaife had tyres on from last years Indy car round.

McFadyen did extremely well... but this is practice, where the best set of dirty shirts often comes into play.

Interesting to see how quick the best Konica car was, in comparison to this field. If this had been qualifying, Owen Kelly would have been 3rd, and quicker than his DJR compatriots in much newer cars...

Lets see if the same will happen in the heat of battle for McFadyen, in qualifying tomorrow.

Team Dynamik (confirmed) the brand new 2004 car from that team, with the 3rd driver running it as a reliablity test..

So its a fresher car than both the Wills and Brede units.
